Sunday night the Indiana Pacers beat the Los Angeles Lakers 95-92 and recorded their first Staples Center win in history. In the loss Kobe Bryant scored 41 points, almost half the amount his whole team put up, but not even that was enough. The Pacers youngsters play around with the biggest names while beating them on their home court, marking the first win at the Staples center since its opening in 1999.
“To come into L.A. and beat the world champions on their home court is a huge win for us,” Danny Granger, who added 18 points for the Pacers himself, said. “It gives us a lot of motivation and confidence on this West Coast road trip.” Looking forward to their trip to the West Coast they want fans and media not to be surprised by wins such as the one last night, as Roy Hibbert makes clear. “We know this is a big win for us, but we can play with anybody.”
