Tiger Woods will no longer be on the cover of his own video game. Instead Augusta National and the Masters are going to be the highlights of the cover. This change is going to mark the first time since he signed with EA Sport thirteen years ago that his face will appear only during the game but not right upfront. Despite all assumptions Tiger Woods has no problem with this development. Instead he is very excited and says that his new game, “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Master” will offer every player the unique opportunity to play on a field that they would never be able to in reality. For that matter he is not upset about the change because the Augusta National “is the most sought after tournament gamers wanted in our sport.”
Woods also speaks about the accuracy of the game and its features, saying that it truly is like the real gold course. “It’s so realistic the way they laser scanned the course, it’s pretty close to being absolutely perfect. So for us to have the Masters tournament in there and to have Augusta National in the game, a course most people are never going to play for real, and to give them that opportunity to experience the course the way we do, this is something special.” The game does not only give players the chance to aim and hit the golf ball in its most basic state but it also includes the difficulties of the real course, such as winds and other outside factors.
